Costco expects orders to be shipped complete. If you cannot fulfill certain line items, this must be communicated in your 855 PO Acknowledgment — at the line level, with a revised availability date or a documented exception. Do not send a partial ASN with zero-quantity lines; remove unfulfillable lines from the ASN entirely, as zero-quantity ASN lines are treated as a non-compliant data field. Split shipments require advance approval from your Costco buyer. SBSA manages all of these exception workflows within your EDI automation.
